Congratulations on your sale Steve!

Artist's Description

The Tarpon is one of the most valued gamefish in the sea even though it has no table value. Also known as the Silver King, these fish are known to grow as large as 300 lbs and they fight like a freight train. This painting is an attempt to capture some of that power and beauty. The original painting was made on Arches paper but this image would look amazing as a canvas print or even a T-shirt.

About Steve Shaw

Steve Shaw

When I am not teaching art at the The Schenck School or out fishing, you can find me creating art in my studio or spending time with my wife Natalie and our kids, Marin and Finn. When I was 22 years old, I made the life-changing decision to trade in my coat-and-tie corporate job to become a boat captain in Key West, Florida. In the seven adventurous years I spent there, I realized my true calling was to create and teach. Now that my kids are older I am finding more time to get in my studio and paint....
